Respond to emergency appeals;
Education assistance overseas and make our parishioners more aware of the needs for others

Objectives:

  • To react immediately to local, national or international disasters either in kind, goods or money;
  • To take on a specific project either inside or outside the Diocese and/or overseas, with a definite aim to give aid;
  • To arrange for speakers to preach at services and liaise with specific charities.

Sponsored Children With Plan International

Four children, one each from the Dominican Republic, Togo, Columbia and Bangladesh are sponsored through Plan International. Regular updates are received from the charity. Four church members correspond with the children.

We were very pleased to welcome some new sponsors in 2020 but would still welcome a few more. The annual donation is £15 per child. If interested please contact Judy Seymour.

Fund Raising and Fellowship Events

These take place at both Lent and Harvest times.

Church Coffee: Coffee is served after the Sunday Communion Service. Four times a year the donations collected are sent to a chosen local, national or international charity

Charity Collection Boxes: Each year the church supports the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal, Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and Keech Hospice Care Christmas Bells.

Christmas Post Box: This is on display in church during the month of December to post Christmas Cards to other members of the church. All donations in lieu of postage stamps support Keech Hospice Care, Children’s Section.
